TheStreet.com, a leading financial media company, is in search of a highly motivated Marketing Associate to join our team. This person will be responsible for assisting with the management and execution of web-based marketing and creative projects.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree and at least one year of experience in a corporate environment. Online marketing, membership and/or subscription marketing experience a plus.
- Knowledge of direct marketing principles and practices.
- Understanding of the web creative development, execution, production and trafficking processes.
- Knowledge of email marketing best practices with experience in setting up and deploying email marketing campaigns
- Outstanding communication (oral & written), interpersonal and organizational skills
- Excellent computer skills, especially Excel (spreadsheets, formulas, commissions) and Word; Power Point a plus.
- Basic knowledge of HTML and SQL.
- Ability to multi-task and work well within tight deadlines.
- Strong attention to detail- this is crucial.
- Strong analytical capability.
- Exceptional project management, organization, and process management skills.

Leading publisher is looking for an enthusiastic Assistant Marketing Manager to develop and execute marketing strategies and sales tools for politics, law, and sociology disciplines in the academic and trade markets. The ideal candidate should be able to juggle multiple projects while working with editorial and sales to conceive and refine the “message” for each title on their assigned list. Duties include preparing and implementing marketing plans, advertising and promotional campaigns, sampling strategies, and competitive analysis. The Assistant Marketing Manager must be able to effectively communicate these sales strategies and messages to sales reps and customers.
Qualifications:
- Must be able to demonstrate strategic, creative, and innovative work, have excellent presentation skills, and be able to work with minimal supervision.
- Experience in nonfiction publishing preferred and marketing and/or sales experience in a publishing environment highly desirable.
