Whether you're leaving voluntarily (changing careers, going back to school, retiring) or involuntarily (sadly laid off or fired), there is that uncomfortable thought of saying "good-bye."
The New York Time's Shifting Career's blog has a great article on the art of writing a farewell letter. Although the letter they posted was "ok" to me, it still has some interesting points.
Saying goodbye is always hard, but keeping it light-hearted with a "keep in touch" should earn kudo points.
